We are accepting Applications for:

Practicum/ Internship Students

We accept practicum and internship students.

You must be currently enrolled in a graduate program and working on completing your degree.

We require a two-semester commitment minimum, as well as additional required courses, which are shown on the application.

LMFT-Associates

We have a licensed LMFT Supervisor, who is currently accepting LMFT- Associates working on completing their 3,000 hours for licensure.

 

This Child and Family Therapist role will provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based treatment modalities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS • Knowledge and practice in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is not required but is a definite plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

 • Master’s degree in mental health field (Counseling, Social Work, Marriage, and Family Therapy Psychology) • State of Texas full and independent licensure to practice as a; Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist-Associate (LMFT-Associate); Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate, (LPC-Associate). Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), OR Provisional licensure, LPC-Intern, LMSW

• Must be a good team player • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Working knowledge of attachment and trauma • Good Organizational skills • Must be comfortable in presenting information and developing community relationships • Must be able to pass criminal as well as clear the National Sex Offender Registry.

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 • Provide clinical assessments. • Provide Psychotherapy to individual, child, adolescent, teen, family, and groups.  • Complete individualized treatment plans. • Measure treatment progress by assessing improvement on clinical sessions  • Timely documentation with clinical session notes, provide written reports as appropriate, and enter service data in a database. • Provide court testimony IF needed.

Employment Policy:

This Practicum, internship and Associate level of employment is a direct clinical service position providing counseling services to children and families affected by their life events.  Weekly tasks will include scheduling and conducting psychoeducation to teen groups, individual and family therapy sessions using evidence-based modalities, administering, and scoring client assessments, documenting counseling sessions and assessments, group consultation with the counseling team, individual supervision with the on-site supervisor is a must.
